This house is an individual dwelling located on a steeply sloping site, elevated above a seaside village in Dumfries and Galloway.

First floor bedrooms connect a central stair and hall atrium accessed from entrance level.  The cranked floor plan protects elevations from surrounding dwellings and external terraced landscaping extending from the main lower living accommodation.

The complex topography generates split-level open, upper and lower ground floor living.

A mix of traditional and modern external finishes has been used comprising slate, wet dash render and cedar cladding.  Excellent client brief with ongoing dialogue at design stage and construction phase resulted in a successful project and family home.
