Contract Value:
£465,000

3b construction were involved in building a completely new office and toilet facility at Girvan Harbourside for South Ayrshire Council. The works comprised of a complete new build from blockwork external walls with finished render and areas of facing brick to complete the overall appearance.

The roof structure was formed using steel beams, which were then finished with zinc and continued to the sea elevation. The steelwork was all fabricated using 3b constructions dedicated fabrication facility based in Newton Stewart.

The building was located near a very busy car park and shopping area, therefore robust traffic management plans were developed to ensure minimal disruption.

This project had significant budget and time constraints, which 3b construction were able to mitigate against by effective utilisation of our in-house multi-trade labour resource and our dedicated in-house manufacturing facilities.

Effective co-ordination of these resources ensured the project was completed on time and to the desired budget.

The building was constructed to accommodate offices for the harbour master and changing facilities for the fisherman.

“3b construction are committed to supporting sustainable
employment in the local area.”
