3b construction

Contract Value:
£820,000

This well-known Ayrshire landmark was largely destroyed by fire in early 2012. 3b construction was contracted to carry out the rebuild and refurbishment works and return the building to its previous uses as a popular restaurant and bar.

New structural steelwork had to be inserted in the building and major structural masonry repairs had to be carried out. This provided stability to the remaining walls.

A new roof was constructed and a master thatcher was contracted to carry out the thatching works.

The internal fit out was carried out with the finishing joinery items detailed then manufactured at our factory prior to delivery to site for fitting. These items included doors, screens, flooring, furniture and bar.

The project was delivered within budget and ahead of the 18 week programme, which was crucial for the client in order to open the building for public use.

“The construction work has been carried out to an extremely high standard and the attention to detail is second to none.”
