The works took place in Galloway Forest Park where environmental issues were of utmost importance including reinforced concrete bridge construction adjacent to a protected water course and also within a dark skies area.
Works consisted of road and bridge construction, SUDS based car park construction, building substructure, complicated steel frame structure and stonemasonry work.
Our structural steel division designed, detailed, fabricated and erected the steel frame and our ground workers completed the substructure up to ground floor slab level.
All these works were carried out on site next to the existing visitor centre and forest trails which were in full use throughout the busy summer period.
